Why Hard Cell?
In late 1983 the very first commercially available cell phone was introduced to the general public. It cost almost four thousand dollars (about $11,500 in today's currency), offered a whopping 30 minutes of talk time, took ten hours to charge, and ran on the ancient and fabled 1G cellular network. Affectionately nicknamed the "brick phone," its distinctive rectangular shape and huge antenna made it an early 80s cultural touchstone.
