Why Four Wings?
In January 2003, scientists in China found fossils of a small dinosaur with two sets of wings. Researchers hypothesized that the ancient creature may have looked like a three foot dragonfly, with all four wings and tail covered in feathers, similar to modern birds. This creature might have been the evolutionary step before wing-flapping, but it’s not something we’d want gliding around our kayaks!
