Why Shelby Sending It Back?
Every collection has a story… but this one? This one got a little lost in the mail. Literally.
We were getting ready to send our newest, not-yet-seen collection to our photographer, Shelby Robinson. Very official. Very organized. Very we’ve done this a hundred times before. Enter Jess, packing up the box. “It's Shelby B, right?” she asked. Sarah — who Jess lovingly roasts on a regular basis for not always fully listening — paused for approximately half a second and said, “…uh, yeah. Shelby.”
And just like that, our entire unreleased collection was on its way… to the wrong Shelby. Somewhere out there, Shelby B. — a real customer, living her life, minding her business — opened a package she definitely did not order… containing an entire, unseen Hello Love collection. And honestly? She handled it better than we would have.
Instead of keeping it (tempting), selling it (understandable), or exposing us (fair), she did the most elite, kind, queen behavior possible: She sent it back. Shelby B, if you’re reading this… we owe you everything. And that’s how this set got its name.
