The world met its new guilty pleasure when Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered on E! on October 14, 2007. What started as a way to promote the family’s boutique, DASH, turned into a pop culture powerhouse. Kris Jenner pitched it as a “modern-day Brady Bunch” with better outfits, while Kim’s leaked tape earlier that year gave the show a publicity boost no marketing budget could buy. The pilot was shot for less than $500,000 and the original title was supposedly Kardashian Konfidential. The name change was fitting because, almost twenty years later, we really Kan't Keep Up with the Kardashian-Jenner dynasty.
