Why Ant She Survived?
Joan Murray's incredible survival story is a true testament to human resilience. While skydiving in September 1999, her parachute malfunctioned, sending her plummeting 14,000 feet to the ground. Miraculously, she landed on a fire ant mound, which broke her fall. To make matters worse (if that’s possible), hundreds of stings from the angry ants caused severe reactions and temporary paralysis—but also shocked her heart into keeping it beating. Despite the pain, Joan crawled to safety, her determination helping her survive against all odds.
