Why Duct Tape and Dreams?
Apple unleashed the very first iPhone in 2007 and rewrote the rules of technology. Steve Jobs amazed the world, calling it an iPod, a phone, and an internet communicator in one shiny package. Behind the curtain, though, engineers admitted the prototype was basically “duct tape and dreams,” barely surviving rehearsals without freezing. None of that mattered once it hit the shelves. People camped out for days, ditched their flip phones, and kicked off the era of swipe, tap, and selfie.
