Why Kind of a Baldwin?
Clueless opened in theaters and became the surprise sleeper hit of the summer. Its box office success launched the careers of the film's stars, the largely unknown Alicia Silverstone and Paul Rudd. Alicia got the part without even auditioning, when the writer/director saw her in Aerosmith's Cryin' music video. Paul Rudd, on the other hand, auditioned for every major male part in the film before landing the role of Josh.
