Why Or Did They?

Apollo 15 was the ninth crewed mission in the Apollo program and the fourth to land on the moon. From July 30th to August 2nd, 1971, astronauts David Scott and James Irwin became the first Americans to use the Lunar Roving Vehicle, allowing them to travel further from the Lunar Module than had previously been possible. Sadly, the following year, after the 7th mission to the moon, the US abandoned its moon exploration programs for good. Many Americans wonder why in the more than 50 years since we have never returned. Some even question whether any of these missions actually took place at all.
