Why Run, John Run?
Forrest Gump won six Oscars at the 67th Annual Academy Awards, including Tom Hanks’ win for Best Actor (his second consecutive year taking that Oscar category). Surprisingly, Hanks was the fourth choice for the role. John Travolta was the first of three actors offered the iconic role before Tom Hanks. Thankfully the other two, Chevy Chase and Bill Murray, also turned down the role.
