Why Where's the Wall-Doh?
In the 1950’s, Kutol Products, which had been the largest producer of wallpaper cleaner, was floundering. Their primary product, a soft, pliable compound used to wipe away coal soot, was no longer in demand as gas had begun to replace coal. Fortunately, a handy housewife solved the dilemma when she realized the compound could easily be molded into shapes - a perfect toy for kids! In 1956, Play-Doh was born and the Kutol Products was saved.
