Why Wonder Blunder?
The “burping” Tupperware Wonderlier Bowl, invented in 1948, was the perfect container for storing leftovers. However, it was a total bust in sales. Tupperware pulled it off the shelves and introduced the famous Tupperware Party, and sales soared. Women loved gathering in homes to buy the product once they were shown in person that “burping” was the key to an air-tight seal on the bowl. Soon the “burp” was heard in kitchens across America - and not just from teenage boys!
