Released in May 1983 by The Police from their iconic Synchronicity album, "Every Breath You Take" quickly became (and stayed) a number one hit and won a Grammy for best song of the year. It later went on to become the signature song for The Police and the most-played song for licensing company BMI. Clearly, it's a bop. But have you ever actually listened to the lyrics?
